The discussion focused on topical issues of the two countries’ trade and economic cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov. They discussed current issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as well as prospects for deepening integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union.
Alexei Overchuk and Bakhyt Sultanov examined priority goals related to the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of taxation, digital trade and agriculture, as well as the establishment of cooperative production chains in the Eurasian space.
They paid particular attention to the implementation of the action plan for the Comprehensive Programme for Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021–2025.
