Mikhail Mishustin: Good afternoon, colleagues. At the President’s instruction, the mass free and voluntarily vaccination against COVID-19 was launched yesterday. The jab is now available to everyone, not only people in the risk groups. Additional vaccination points are being opened. In some regions, private medical organisations have joined the campaign. It is important that all precautionary measures are observed because both people’s health and the epidemiological situation in every region depend on it. I ask the governors to personally monitor the vaccination campaign in their regions.
It is now possible to book a vaccination appointment via the Public Services Portal, currently in a test mode, but it will soon work at full capacity. This will allow us to plan the work of outpatient clinics more efficiently, avoid long queues, and save the time of those who come to get a jab. It is also important for observing the storage conditions of the vaccine. Following the second stage of vaccination, one can use the website to receive an electronic certificate. The Government is currently working on the issue of international recognition of vaccination certificates at the President’s instruction.
Our current priority and the key to a successful vaccination campaign is ensuring the production of the vaccine in the necessary volumes. The faster herd immunity is developed, the sooner we will stop the spread of the infection. I want to ask my deputies to be in constant contact with the vaccine producers and designers and to promptly deal with all issues in case they appear.
Colleagues, the coronavirus situation remains difficult, although it is gradually stabilising in most Russian regions. We need to continue monitoring the situation and ensure that the regions have sufficient hospital capacities and medicines.
Testing for COVID-19 is underway all across the country. At the President’s instruction, the Government is working on the service to inform citizens about their test results through the Public Services Portal, so they can quickly and conveniently receive information, promptly begin treatment and keep their loved ones safe. While developing the service, we must focus on personal data security. It must be securely protected. I ask Dmitry Chernyshenko to personally oversee this issue.
Colleagues, it is important that each medical facility streamlines all the processes. At the same time, it is also necessary to constantly inform people about the vaccination and the opportunities they have. They need to know in detail where they can get a jab, and what the indications and contraindications are. You need to answer all questions people may have, so please also focus on this work.
