The agenda includes transfer of the stock of hospital beds under the control of regional authorities and allocation of funds for their re-equipment.
Mikhail Mishustin’s opening remarks:
Good afternoon, colleagues.
The situation concerning the spread of the coronavirus remains difficult; the number of patients is growing, although the number of those who have recovered is also increasing. However, so far the entire health care system is continuing to work at maximum capacity, which is just what the President spoke about at the meeting on Monday. It is critically important to take all the available resources into account and to distribute them properly. The seriously-ill patients should receive quality and timely treatment as a matter of priority.
More than half of the hospital beds in the regions need to be fitted out with additional necessary equipment. Some in-patient facilities will have to be equipped with mobile oxygen stations, which are used among other things for resuscitation. Such beds must also have ventilators.
Today we will discuss the allocation of additional funds to 84 regions. I am speaking about an amount over 30 billion roubles that will be used not only to re-equip hospital beds, but also to upgrade the beds in infectious disease wards so that patients will have all the necessary conditions for their treatment. Additional financing – over 11 billion roubles – will be required for the re-equipping of hospital beds in federal medical facilities in the regions. We will also consider this question today.
Let’s get down to the discussion.
