The prime ministers exchanged views on the measures being taken by Russia and France to counter the coronavirus infection and support the economy, including small and medium-sized businesses.
The Prime Minister of France thanked Russia for assistance in transporting French citizens home from the Russian Federation, and for the transit of cargo aircraft with medical supplies to France via Russian territory. The prime ministers agreed to continue practical cooperation of their governments in this and other areas of mutual interest.
Mikhail Mishustin and Edouard Philippe discussed the opportunity to organise cooperation between the Russian and French healthcare ministries on researching medications against the coronavirus, developing new treatment methods and testing the latest vaccines.
The prime ministers noted the importance of further developing Russian-French trade, economic and investment ties. In this context, Mr Mishustin invited Mr Philippe to visit Russia after the lifting of the restrictions that the French Prime Minister introduced due to the coronavirus infection.
