The agenda includes measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection.
Mikhail Mishustin’s opening remarks:
Good morning, colleagues,
The spread of the coronavirus infection is a serious trial that both Russia and the entire world are facing. The main thing today is to protect our citizens and also the economy.
The government is continuing to take measures against the spread of the coronavirus infection. And, of course, measures to support people, businesses and entire industries that are being hit by the virus.
The President voiced a number of initiatives on this, and we quickly developed corresponding legislative acts to introduce the support measures as soon as possible. We have just discussed this in detail at the briefing with my deputies.
Countering the coronavirus infection is our priority today.
We are doing everything possible to hold back the spread of the coronavirus. Russian doctors are battling to save patients’ lives and health 24/7. They are working very hard. Volunteers are helping those who have problems with caring for themselves too. People who maintain self-isolation and the authorities’ requirements also make a great contribution, which means they are responsible about their and other people’s health. There must be no other way.
Let’s get down to discussing the situation today around the entire range of issues in Russia, what prognosis there is and what immediate decisions are needed.
