During the meeting, the establishment of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response Alliance was announced. The alliance’s main task is to ensure the rapid testing of people using the best available technology, as well as the industrial security and continuous operation of the largest Russian enterprises. The project will also involve leading Russian clinics and laboratory networks. The pilot project, based on the Russian-Japanese express testing system, will be launched in April at the member enterprises of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, informed Mikhail Mishustin about obtaining the permission of the Federal Service for Supervision of Healthcare to use the new-generation Russian-Japanese COVID-19 diagnostics system in Russia.
The alliance participants noted that to date the approved innovative testing system was a unique solution, one of the most effective for COVID-19 diagnostics. It uses the isothermal molecular diagnostic method, which is as precise as the commonly used PCR technology (polymerase chain reaction), but takes four times less time: 30 minutes instead of two hours or more.
A range of testing kits has been adapted both for stationary labs and unique portable mini-labs, and can be used anywhere.
Mikhail Mishustin supported the proposals of the alliance members to amend the regulations to test people as soon as possible.
