During a telephone conversation, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov discussed pressing issues concerning the trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan as well as the preparations for the meeting of the Russia-Uzbekistan Joint commission at the level of prime ministers that is scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan in late May 2019.
The Russia-Uzbekistan Joint commission headed by the prime ministers was established in October 2018, following President Vladimir Putin’s talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to coordinate efforts in promoting trade and economic cooperation.
