The congratulatory message from Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev reads, in part:
“I am confident that your extensive experience in leading the government and the upper house of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan as well as your work at the United Nations will contribute to the successful solution of large-scale tasks as head of state and pursuing the political course determined by the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.
I would like to confirm our readiness to step up inter-governmental cooperation to further strengthen the partnership and friendly alliance between Russia and Kazakhstan, and to deepen trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other cooperation. It is important to continue to increase the interaction of Russia and Kazakhstan within the Eurasian Economic Union, creating favourable conditions for the promotion of promising integration projects.”
