Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets has visited a youth camp near Lake Seliger in the Tver Region. During her visit, she attended a presentation of youth projects in education, healthcare and healthy lifestyles, and answered questions.
Ms Golodets told the young people that a New Youth Employment programme would be implemented under the sponsorship of the Federal Service for Labour and Employment.
“We should proceed from young people’s inventions to their implementation, so that their innovative projects work for the benefit of the country,” she said.According to Ms Golodets, supporting youth employment should become a priority of the Government’s employment policy. “We traditionally believe that the employment service deals with unemployment, whereas one of its key priorities is, in fact, to provide practical support for youth employment,” Ms Golodets said.
She said that sections on supporting young professionals could be established at all regional departments of the Federal Service for Labour and Employment.
