Excerpts from the transcript:
Dmitry Medvedev: Mr Jeenbekov, I am happy to greet you, and I am very glad to have an opportunity to talk with you as part of our multilateral event, this meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council here in Astana, Kazakhstan. This is an opportunity to reaffirm our common approaches to the development of Russian-Kyrgyz relations. I think we have accomplished a lot lately; one example is the increase in trade volume, which has grown significantly. What I think is important is that the increase has not been based only on commodities, but also on Kyrgyzstan-made products.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov: Mr Medvedev, I am also happy to meet with you. I appreciate that you agreed to meet in this format. Mr Atambayev conveys his sincere greetings to you.
Dmitry Medvedev: And greetings to Mr Atambayev, as well.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov: He has very warm memories of his official visit to the Russian Federation. Moscow gave him a sincere welcome, and he was very grateful. I want to say this on his behalf.
You are right; our economies are developing at a good pace. Exports to the Eurasian Economic Union countries have grown by 29.6 percent; GDP has grown by 6.4 percent in the past seven months. These are the results of our joining the Eurasian Economic Union.
