During her working trip, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets visited Kazanorgsintez, one of the largest chemical companies in the Republic of Tatarstan, and talked to the employees.
Answering their questions she said that the Government is discussing the increase of benefits for mothers of children under 18 month and that now there is a great labour shortage in Russia. “That is why we encourage mothers to return to work earlier. We are creating the conditions for this, including constructing a large numbers of kindergartens,” said Olga Golodets. She said once again that the government has no plans to raise the retirement age.
In addition, Olga Golodets visited a number of social facilities in Kazan. She attended the opening ceremonies of the Emergency Medicine Centre and the Nuclear Medicine Centre, and was impressed by their quality. “I have no misgivings about these medical centres. The construction quality is excellent; they are already treating patients,” Olga Golodets said. She said that not only the republic, but the whole country can be proud of these institutions as they set new standards of patient care and open up new opportunities for doctors. She said: “Now we can say that Tatarstan has reached a new level of medical care.”
At the end of the trip Olga Golodets along with Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in presenting the Doctor of the Year republican awards.
