As part of his working visit to the Vladimir Region Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin visited the V.A.Degtyaryov Plant in the city of Kovrov where he was shown samples of military robotechnics and precision guided systems developed by the Signal National Research Institute.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed a particular interest in the Nerekhta multi-functional combat support system, which consists of two tank machine guns mounted on a remote-controlled platform. Mr Rogozin was also shown tank fire stabilising systems, a missile guidance system for the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon system, as well as an automatic artillery fire control system.
During his visit, Mr. Rogozin took part in an award ceremony for labour veterans (workers distinguished by a long working career). He presented Vladimir Tyumenov, whose career at the plant began in the summer of 1941, with a special award – an honorary army officer golden dagger bearing his name.
