The International Media Council (IMC) was established by the World Economic Forum in 2006. The council consists of 100 of the most influential members of the world media community: publishers, producers, chief editors, department heads and press observers, bloggers and representatives of the electronic and print media.
The council's main objective is to study the entire range of global problems and prospects for the development of the mass media in order to increase the quality and level of providing information to society. The council assembles twice a year: in the winter, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, and in the summer, as part of the session of the Community of Global Growth Companies.
