Transcript of the beginning of the conversation:
Dmitry Medvedev: Mr Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, distinguished Chinese colleagues, welcome to INNOPROM, the exhibition and trade fair where China acts as a partner country. Thank you for bringing such a strong and representative delegation. Your visit indicates the high level of relations between Russia and China, which is described as strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation.
I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to give my regards and best wishes to President of the Republic of China Xi Jinping and Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang. President Xi is currently taking part in the SCO and BRICS summits in Ufa, so we are delighted to welcome our Chinese friends.
Notably, you and Mr Rogozin recently co-chaired a meeting of the Russian-Chinese Commission for Preparing Regular Meetings of Heads of Government. Last year, such a meeting was held in Moscow. Now, we are preparing to hold the 20th anniversary meeting of the heads of governments of Russia and China.
I toured the stands today and saw interesting and diverse expositions from China, ranging from high-speed rail to aircraft.
Documents are being signed. One of the contracts was signed in my presence. So, the People's Republic of China’s participation in our INNOPROM exhibition as a key partner should be deemed a success. Once again, thank you for that.
WangYang (viainterpreter): Mr Prime Minister, thank you for taking the time to meet with our delegation and with me. I’d like to thank you for visiting the Chinese exposition. It speaks to your focus on promoting relations with China, and it was at your invitation that China acted as a partner country of INNOPROM- 2015.
I’m aware that Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang spoke with you over the phone on 3 July. He sends his regards and best wishes.
Premier Li Keqiang will welcome you in China in December during the 20th regular meeting of the heads of government and the meeting of the heads of the SCO member states.
China-Russia relations are at an all-time high. Transforming the advantages of high-level political relations into practical results is a priority for our governments, and you paid a great deal of attention to it.
As you rightly pointed out, Deputy Prime Minister Rogozin and I have held a working meeting in Irkutsk, during which the sides had an in-depth exchange of views on key issues of bilateral economic cooperation. We reached many new agreements and achieved new results.
