Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated the Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia on the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The messages stress that current and future generations will always remember the unparalleled feat of our fathers and grandfathers who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War and the fortitude of the home-front workers.
Mr Medvedev expressed confidence that the fraternity and friendship that had brought our nations together during the arduous war years would continue to strengthen mutual cooperation between the countries in the areas of trade and economics, science and technology, culture and humanitarianism and other spheres as well as others..
Mr Medvedev asked his counterparts to convey wishes of happiness, health and a long life to Great Patriotic War veterans in their respective countries, as well as his sincere respect and gratitude for their selfless feat.
