At their meeting, Mr Surkov and Mr Koji – who, in addition to being the founder of the Science & Technology in Society, is a renowned Japanese statesman – discussed the possibility of Russia’s development institutions taking part in the forum’s upcoming 10th session, to be held in Kyoto on October 6-8, 2013.
The STS is an annual world-scale event, bringing together leaders from various fields to discuss problems impeding the progress of the global community, and to work together to find mutually acceptable solutions.
Mr Surkov also invited representatives of Japan’s high-tech industries and research community to attend the 2nd Moscow international Open Innovations forum, scheduled for October 31 to November 2, 2013.
