Dmitry Medvedev: Mr Sargsyan, I would like to cordially welcome you here in Sochi. Thank you for coming to attend the closing ceremony of the XXII Olympic Winter Games. The President of Armenia attended the opening ceremony, and you have come to attend the closing ceremony. Olympic events are always interesting, and they also symbolise our friendship and cooperation.
Today, we have an opportunity to look at all aspects of Russian-Armenian cooperation, to assess our achievements and your preparations for joining the Customs Union and the implementation of the “road map.” Of course, we’ll discuss bilateral trade turnover, investment projects and the upcoming donors conference. On the whole, we’ll look at all issues.

Tigran Sargsyan: Mr Medvedev, colleagues. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the wonderful organisation of the Olympic Games. This was a great holiday, and all of us were thrilled with what we saw. We really admired this magnificent sporting event. There seemed to be a new kind of unity here, a new spirit; the atmosphere was very different. On behalf of the Government of Armenia and our people, we would like to congratulate you on this wonderful event and the Russian team’s success and historic record.
