Resolution No.1959 of 2 November 2022
The Government has extended the temporary ban on the export of certain goods and other restrictions for another year, until the end of 2023. A resolution to this effect has been signed.
The decision was made to implement the Presidential Executive Order “On application of special economic measures in foreign economic activity to ensure the security of the Russian Federation.” It is necessary for protecting the domestic market.
In March 2022, the Government compiled lists of goods and equipment that were temporarily banned from export from Russia.
The restrictions include technological and medical equipment, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment, turbines, nuclear reactors, fibre optic cables, individual types of flight vehicles, radar devices, batteries, and metal processing machines. Overall, the restrictions apply to over 1,600 product items.
These exports are banned to all foreign countries except the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.
The Government has also extended the temporary limit on certain categories of Russian exports of some types of timber, waste and scrap steel, tungsten and cermets.
