Directive No. 2846-r of 31 October 2020
The member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will work together on common approaches to public policy and legal regulation in the sphere of digital development of society and the digital economy. The cooperation agreement is to be signed on 6 November during the next meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government.
The draft agreement has been approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The agreement will contribute to the implementation of the CIS Concept of Cooperation in Digital Development of Society and the Plan of Priority Measures for its Implementation approved at the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government on 25 October 2019.
The parties to the agreement will focus on such areas as developing information infrastructure and e-government system; bridging the digital divide; and creating comprehensive mechanisms for supporting research, training and retraining of personnel.
