The professional skills championship for people with disabilities will take place in Moscow in 2021.
The participants and guests of the 10th
Abilympics International
Professional Skills Championship for people with
disabilities will be able to obtain free visas and fast-track their entry to
Russia, according to the directive signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The organising committee of the championship will submit visa applications to the Foreign Ministry. In addition, when crossing the border delegations will be able to go through passport and customs control on a priority basis.
Simplified entry rules will also apply to foreign journalists planning to cover the event.
Abilympics is an international social project aimed at promoting professional skills among people with disabilities. The 10th championship will take place in Moscow on 26-29 May 2021. It will involve over 1,000 participants from 40 countries as well as almost 1,000 accompanying persons, 800 experts and 1,200 volunteers. There are competitions in 55 skills categories, including ICT, catering, the service sector, as well as industrial, medical and creative professions.
