Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a directive to allocate half a billion roubles to support Russians who cannot return from abroad during the coronavirus pandemic.
These funds, as well as the earlier allocated 500 million roubles, are to be used for the temporary accommodation, meals and other urgent needs of Russians abroad who cannot return home. If needed, the financial aid may be used to pay fees for extending visas and other documents that are necessary for Russian citizens’ stay in foreign countries.
The money is being set aside from the Government Reserve Fund. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is accepting requests for financial aid.
