Under the 2017-2019 Development of the Nuclear Power Industry state programme of Rosatom State Corporation, budget allocations will be provided to implement projects as part of the IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme to develop nuclear energy infrastructure with respect to training staff in countries building or planning to build nuclear power station using Russian technologies. Funds for these purposes are provided in the federal budget for 2017 and the planning period of 2018-2019.

Under Rosatom State Corporation’s directive, in 2017-2019, budget allocations will be provided to implement projects as part of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Technical Cooperation Programme to develop nuclear energy infrastructure with respect to training staff in countries building or planning to build nuclear power station using Russian technologies.
Budget allocations amounting to $1.78 million are provided to pay in 2017-2019 voluntary target contributions to the IAEA, while 109.5 million roubles are to be used to cover expenses related to holding training activities in Russia for the implementation of such projects. Funds for these purposes are provided in the federal budget for 2017 and the planning period of 2018-2019.
Rosatom State Corporation is instructed to coordinate Russia’s participation in the implementation of these projects and oversee the use of funds allocated for these purposes.
The decision will have a positive impact on the development of Russia’s nuclear power industry and will help strengthen Russia’s economic influence on the world market of nuclear energy goods and services.
