The document was introduced by the Ministry of Transport and the Federal Agency for the Development of State Border Infrastructure (Rosgranitsa) on Government order.
The Kaluga Region is actively developing its automotive, pharmaceutical, transport and logistics, IT and agricultural clusters.
Large industrial parks, including Rosva, Kaluga-Yug, Grabtsevo and Vorsino, are located in the Kaluga Region. Along with the industrial clusters, the region plans to develop tourism.
In order to create favourable conditions for the socio-economic development of the region and increase its investment attractiveness, the Kaluga (Grabtsevo) Airport was reconstructed. In particular, work has been completed on renovating the runway, taxiways, aircraft parking, the airport buildings and other facilities. The airport now has all of the necessary conditions for international air travel.
Under the signed directive, the Kaluga (Grabtsevo) Airport has opened for international air travel. The airport will be equipped with an irregular multifaceted air passenger checkpoint across the state border of the Russian Federation.
