In keeping with the Government’s decision to enlarge the Ust Luga sea port, the Ministry of Transport has drafted amendments to the Russian Government’s Directive No 698-r of 20 May 2009, which introduced changes to the boundaries within which the port’s operations are subject to state regulation.
The amendments provide for the expansion of the site to include additional grounds for a liquefied hydrocarbon gas terminal, to be built in keeping with the Russian Government’s Directive No 2125-r of 19 November 2012.
All geographical coordinates mentioned in the description of the port’s boundaries have been verified.
The document will help regulate legal relations between the port’s various operators and make state regulation more effective, including with respect to sea navigation safety.
