A completely new mine-rescue and miner professional training system is being created.
The document was developed by the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief to create a completely new professional training system for mine-rescue workers, and volunteers of auxiliary mine-rescue teams formed by mining companies.
The directive provides for the reorganisation of the federal state institution Directorate of Militarised Mine Rescue Units in Construction, which is controlled by the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief, by creating a federal state institution of additional vocational education: the National Airmobile Rescue Training Centre for Training Mine-Rescue Workers and Miners (hereinafter – the National Centre).
The National Centre will include a rapid response airmobile unit that can rapidly reinforce a group of forces of militarised mine rescue units controlled by the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief in the event of large-scale emergencies and accidents in any Russian region.
The creation of the National Centre will make it possible to build an efficient training system for mine rescue workers and miners, and improve the level of response to accidents at mining facilities, thereby enhancing the safety of mining and underground work.
