The Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr) is a federal executive body responsible for the state registration of rights to real estate and the transactions thereof; it also renders state services for the administration of state registration and cadastre accounting for real estate; conducts cadastre related activities and state cadastre appraisal; performs land boundary survey, monitoring of land use; provides services in geodesy and cartography, navigational support for the transportation complex (except Russian airspace navigational services), as well as conducts state geodesic supervision and state land control, and monitors the activities of self-regulated appraiser and arbitration management organisations.
