The draft resolution On Changes to Certain Government Acts Regarding the Location of Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East was submitted by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.
On 24 October 2013, the Government Commission on the Socioeconomic Development of the Far East approved at its meeting a new model for the development of the Russian Far East based on the principles of tight integration and developing trade and economic relations with the Asia-Pacific nations. To ensure the enforcement of its liabilities, it is deemed appropriate for the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East to have offices in the cities in the Russian Far East that have a developed transport and social infrastructure.
The Resolution introduces changes into the Statute of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East approved by Government Resolution No. 664 of 30 June 2012, and Government Resolution No. 534 of 31 May 2012 regarding the location of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.
In accordance with the introduced changes, the list of cities hosting offices of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East has been expanded. Apart from Moscow and Khabarovsk, the Ministry shall have a branch in Vladivostok.
The Resolution’s implementation will facilitate the achievement of socioeconomic development objectives in the constituent entities in the Far Eastern Federal District, the creation of a competitive investment climate and encouragement of business activity.
