The Ministry of Economic Development has elaborated a draft of the Resolution on the Rules for the Valuation and Validation of the Conformity of Test Laboratories (Centres) with the Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (hereinafter referred to as GLP) that conform with the OECD GLP principles.
The resolution approves these rules.
GLP principles ensure the openness of research and proper quality of results obtained.
Unilateral validation of the results of research conducted in countries that implement GLP principles and have confirmed their conformity with the OECD requirements is one of the terms of accession to the OECD.
Mutual recognition of the results of laboratory research is possible only if a country complies with GLP principles, the conformity of which to the OECD requirements has been confirmed by an established procedure.
The rules regulate procedures for validating the conformity of test laboratories (centres) with GLP principles and establish:
- a procedure for conducting preliminary and complete inspection of test laboratories (centres) initiated by a legal entity;
- a procedure for evaluating the conformity of test laboratories (centres) with GLP principles initiated by a legal entity on a periodic basis (once every two years);
- a procedure for monitoring compliance of laboratories (centres) with GLP principles, suspending and terminating the status of their conformity with GLP principles, and documenting this information in the Register of Test Laboratories (Centres) Complying with GLP Principles.
This regulation is not mandatory for test laboratories (centres).
The Government reviewed and endorsed this document at its meeting on 12 December 2013.
