The resolution On Federal Budget Investment in Design, Comprehensive Renovation, Restoration, Technical Upgrade and New Construction at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in 2013-2020 was drafted by the Ministry of Culture.
The maximum limit for federal budget funding in this project will be 22.1 billion roubles, including 1.5 billion roubles in federal money allocated in 2009-2012 for the design and construction of museum facilities under the plan of principal measures to prepare and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the museum.
These allocations are part of an investment in the Ministry of Culture that are stipulated in the federal laws On the Federal Budget for 2013 and the Planning Period of 2014 and 2015 and On the Federal Budget for 2014 and the Planning Period of 2015 and 2016.
The resolution says the Ministry of Culture will act as the state customer and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts as the building owner/developer.
This resolution is designed to modernise the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and hence to enable it to improve quality and increase the diversity of its services.
