Addressing the meeting, Mr Sokolov noted the agency's work in adopting the decisions to launch railway stations, to adjoin new and existing railway tracks, and to establish a comprehensive record of railway cars of the various ownership types.
Improvement has been observed in the agency’s work to launch the automated information railway station index system, he said, which is openly accessible and allows users to promptly obtain information on the work of any given station's commercial operations.
Additionally, Mr Sokolov said that the sector’s educational system completely satisfies railway transport demands for skilled personnel, with the agency’s nine university complexes successfully training higher and secondary vocational education specialists.
Mr Sokolov instructed the agency to pay close attention to railway traffic safety and to assign the Ministry of Transport with tasks related to updating the regulatory base, if required.
