Resolution No. 2219 of 30 December 2025
The special procedure for the sale of registered foreign drugs in Russia will remain in force until 31 December 2027. The relevant resolution has been signed. The decision is intended to help maintain a stable supply of essential medicines to pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals.
The measure allows foreign drugs to be sold in their original packaging, provided the label is in Russian.
The decision to apply a special procedure to specific foreign drugs is made by an interdepartmental commission, which includes representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Roszdravnadzor healthcare regulator, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, and the Federal Customs Service.
Earlier, the Government extended simplified procedures for the state registration of certain drugs and the most in-demand medical devices.
The signed document amends Government Resolution No. 593 of 5 April 2022.
