Resolution №2076 of 19 December 2025
Russia has set a quota on exporting raw rice beyond the Eurasian Economic Union from 1 January to 31 December 2026. The relevant resolution has been signed.
The quota amounts to 200,000 tonnes a year. Under the quota, the export duty will be zero, beyond it – 50 percent of the customs value of the product.
The decision was approved by the Subcommission for Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation and Foreign Trade Protection under the Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration. It will help stimulate rice cultivation in Russia and explore new foreign consumer markets.
A temporary ban on exporting raw rice was effective in Russia from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2025. Currently, there is no need for extending it because rice production volumes fully meet the internal market’s needs for this product.
