Energy Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Labour, the Federal Service for Labour and Employment, the Russian Electric Trade Union (VEP) and the Russian Association of Electric
Energy Employers (RaEl).
The participants discussed the prospects of signing an electricity tariff agreement for 2013-2015. They agreed to be guided by the draft made by RaEl and VEP and expressed their readiness to sign a new agreement before 15 March 2013. The sides also coordinated minimal monthly rates for first category industrial energy workers. A number of decisions were adopted: to instruct the Ministry of Economic Development to include the economically justified and socially responsible expenses of electric energy employers in the social and labour sphere into the parameters for calculating the growth of regulated tariffs in the forecast of Russia’s socioeconomic development in 2014-2016 and send to the Federal Tariff Service a joint address with a view to elaborating effective mechanisms for incorporating in tariff decisions (at federal and regional levels) the economically justified and socially responsible expenses of electric energy employers in the social and labour sphere in line with the electricity tariff agreement.
