Drug producers continue the active search for and synthesis of new psychoactive substances. New synthetic cannabinoids were developed in Japan in July 2012, and in April 2013, these substances were found in the Republics of Belarus and Ukraine.
An investigation has identified new psychoactive substances as well as Heliamine, Mesembrine and Methallylescaline among the ingredients of smoking material in the Sverdlovsk, Ryazan and Arkhangelsk regions.
The aforementioned psychoactive substances are not included in the List of Narcotic Substances, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors subject to state control in the Russian Federation.
The implementation of the signed resolution will help to improve the efficiency of countering the sale of illegal drugs and psychotropic substances and the ability to quickly respond to new psychotropic substances.
