In line with a presidential instruction, Minister of Energy Alexander Novak has arrived in Blagoveshchensk. He flew over the flooded areas of the Far East and reviewed the situation regarding energy infrastructure facilities.
Mr Novak will attend a meeting of the Government Commission on Prevention and Response to Emergencies, which will outline measures on stabilising the situation and assisting the residents of the flooded areas. In addition, the minister plans to hold, jointly with the heads of energy companies, a meeting on preparing power stations and electric energy facilities of the Far Eastern and Siberian federal districts for winter.
