The meeting participants discussed progress in the implementation of Presidential Executive Order No. 597 dated May 7, 2012 on significant increases in healthcare and education workers’ salaries.
The average salary of teachers in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) already stands at 118.8% of the average salary in this region, the Kamchatka Territory 130.8%, the Primorye Territory 103.7%, the Khabarovsk Territory 135.6%, the Amur Region 103.9%, the Magadan Region 124.9%, the Sakhalin Region 108.5%, the Jewish Autonomous Region 114%, and the Chukotka Autonomous Area 84.7%.
The average salary of pre-school teachers should also be raised to match the average salary in the region in 2013.
The average salary of doctors and medical workers with higher education should be at least 129.7% of the average salary in respective regions in 2013.
Currently doctors’ salaries are 125.5% of the regional average in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), 176.8% in the Kamchatka Territory, 136.5% in the Primorye Territory, 134.9% in the Khabarovsk Territory, 135% in the Amur Region, 124.5% in the Magadan Region, 155.9% in the Sakhalin Region, 195.1% in the Jewish Autonomous Region, and 119.5% in the Chukotka Autonomous Area.
