The Co-chairmen of the Commission, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov and Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan discussed the two country’s cooperation in the financial, energy, transport, agricultural, cultural, and social spheres.
The parties noted the successful work of the joint Armenian-Russian working group to draft an Action Plan on Implementing the Programme for Long-term Economic Cooperation between Russia and Armenia up to 2020. The Co-chairmen also addressed the ongoing dialogue to explore opportunities for Armenia’s potential cooperation with the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
The discussion on the prospects for expanding mutual economic integration was also focused on the dialogue between Armenia and the Eurasian Economic Commission. The cooperation memorandum between the Armenian Government and the Eurasian Economic Commission was signed on April 10, 2013.
