The meeting participants discussed a number of joint agreements regarding the CSTO Coordinating Council’s work in 2013, drills and other joint measures to improve collaboration as well as an action plan to develop a collective emergency response system and a common information and software space for CSTO members. The parties also discussed the implementation of the regulation on the response of CSTO members to emergency situations.
Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said that the CSTO members had done an excellent job recently to strengthen collaboration in different areas. The minister stressed the need to continue to improve the collective response to emergencies by the CSTO.
Ministers responsible for emergency relief from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine also attended the meeting.
