In his opening remarks at the forum, Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov outlined the main areas of development of Russian Post. He said that all over the world the mail industry is undergoing changes due to the growing role of long-distance trade and the serious challenges facing the modern market for delivery services.
The participants were also greeted by Universal Postal Union Director General Bishar Hussein, Russian Post Director General Dmitry Strashnov, Svyaz-Bank President and Chairman of the Board Denis Nozdrachyov and St Petersburg Deputy Mayor Igor Divinsky.
