Vladimir Medinsky has held a conference with the ministers of culture of the regions forming the North Caucasus Federal District during a working visit to the area.
The conference focused on the execution of the Presidential Executive Order No. 597 of 7 May, 2012 On Measures to Implement State Social Policy. In particular, the participants discussed the implementation of effective ways to ensure a rise in wages at rural cultural institutions and for certain categories of cultural workers. Mr Medinsky has stressed that raising the salaries of cultural workers should be a top priority for the heads of region’s relevant ministries. In addition, the time period and the level of pay rises stipulated in the presidential order should be scrupulously followed.
