During his working visit to South Ossetia, Minister of Regional Development Igor Slyunyayev inspected construction sites of various facilities built under an investment programme to promote social and economic development of South Ossetia in 2011-2013.
The investment programme was adjusted to include 47 facilities and events for a total of 8.4 billion roubles.
During a meeting with President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, the Minister stressed that every rouble allocated to build and maintain road facilities, social facilities and others, should be used as efficiently as possible.
The President of South Ossetia showed Mr Slyunyayev road and social facilities that have been rebuilt or are currently under construction through Russian financial assistance. Among them are a kindergarten for 100 children and a district hospital in the Djava district, a part of the road connecting Tskhinval and Znaur, the restored Lenin street, and a number of others places.
The Minister also took part in a discussion on short- and mid-term plans to provide assistance to South Ossetia.
