On April 17, Minister of Defence and Army General Sergei Shoigu held talks with Armenian Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan in Moscow.
Mr Shoigu and Mr Ohanyan discussed the current state of and prospects for bilateral military and military-technical partnership, exchanged opinions on a number of current issues on providing security in the South Caucasus, and touched upon directions for cooperation in the efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region for the short and mid term.
The two officials noted a positive trend in strengthening partnership between Russia and Armenia’s ministries of defense, and expressed mutual interest in its further development.
