Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Labour and Social Security said, in particular, that the Ministry had developed a package of documents aimed at improving the social insurance system.
He said that a new strategy for the federal law on special assessments of working conditions at workplaces had also been prepared. In the near future the strategy would be discussed with specialists – representatives of trade unions and employers.
Regarding the activities of the Social Insurance Fund, the Minister drew particular attention to the fact that the fund had made significant progress in resolving the issue of providing disabled people with rehabilitation equipment and improving the quality of it. Maxim Topilin said that in 2013 work would continue on improving the regulatory framework for providing disabled people with rehabilitation equipment, and on developing higher performance requirements for products.
