The Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation has submitted a draft protocol of 18 June 2010 on amendments to the Agreement on the Movement of Goods by Individuals for Personal Use across the Customs Border of the Customs Union and on Customs Operations Connected with Their Release (hereinafter referred to as the draft protocol). It conforms to the draft protocol approved by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on 16 August 2013 (Resolution No. 56).
The draft protocol proposes amendments that would extend customs duties relief to any goods brought temporarily for personal use by foreign individuals that are accredited for participation in official international sports events in Customs Union countries.
The Government endorsed the draft protocol at its meeting on 5 February 2014.
