Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) will allow it to use not only bilateral cooperation tools within the framework of national foreign economic policy, but also multilateral tools for regulating international trade.
The Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the WTO was established by Presidential Executive Order No 898 of 10 December 2013 to ensure Russia’s participation in that organisation.
The Government resolution approved the Statute on the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the WTO, the total number of personnel and funding. The resolution also makes relevant amendments to the Statute on the Ministry of Economic Development, which were approved by Government Resolution No 437 of 5 June 2008.
The document was discussed and approved at a Government meeting on 30 January 2014.
