“The innovative development of the sector has become not only a major area of work, but it is coming to the fore,” the Minister of Healthcare said at the meeting. “In December, the Government approved the Strategy for Medical Science Development until 2025, which was developed by the Ministry in cooperation with the expert community. We are starting on its implementation.”
During this period, Ms Skvortsova said, the Ministry’s scientific board should play a key role in implementing the measures set out in the Strategy.
The meeting participants addressed the draft plan for the measures to implement the strategy and summed up the results of the public discussion of the draft federal law On Biomedical Cell Products.
The attendees also discussed criteria for the competitive selection of institutions to establish medical science innovation centres, as well as a number of other issues.
