First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov has travelled to the Republic of Belarus on a working visit, where he was received by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who awarded the First Deputy Prime Minister the Order of Friendship of Peoples.
Earlier, the President of Belarus signed executive orders to present the Order of Friendship of Peoples to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin for his major contribution to strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between Belarus and Russia, as well as to Denis Manturov for his meaningful contribution to promoting trade and economic ties, industrial and military-technical cooperation between the two countries, and reinforcing the technological sovereignty of the Union State.
Alexander Lukashenko and Denis Manturov discussed priority projects and tracks in trade and industrial cooperation. Trade between Russia and Belarus increased by about three percent in 2025, and this positive momentum has spilled over into 2026 with a 12.5 percent increase in bilateral trade during the first six months of the year.
Denis Manturov emphasised that manufactured goods accounted for a significant share of trade at about 65 percent in 2025. According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, relations between the two countries go beyond trade and are expanding in the wake of close cooperation.
The First Deputy Prime Minister had a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Turchin. In particular, the two officials discussed cooperation in aircraft and auto manufacturing and production of specialised vehicles. They paid special attention to carrying out investment projects for promoting import substitution and expanding mutual access for Russian and Belarusian companies to state support tools within the Union State.
