On 12 November 2020, the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin had a telephone conversation with the Acting President and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov.

The parties discussed priority aspects of expanding Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation and implementing joint projects in energy, industry and transport. They particularly focused on efforts to combat the novel coronavirus.

Mikhail Mishustin stressed the importance of pursuing a continuous policy to strengthen constructive cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, both in a bilateral format and in the Eurasian Economic Union.
