Arkady Dvorkovich holds a meeting of the Government Commission for Food Market Monitoring and Rapid Response to Changing Conditions on Food Markets

The meeting participants discussed forecasted consumer prices on the food market in the second half of 2013 as well as the current situation on the fish, grain and grain products, and sugar markets.

Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich issued an instruction to continue to monitor prices on the markets. In addition, he instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to submit proposals on additional measures to support sugar producers, including customs and tariff regulation of raw sugar imports.

Participants also discussed issues related to supporting domestic agricultural producers.

The decision was taken to extend until August 2013 state commodity interventions on the grain market in Russian regions in the Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts and in the Orenburg Region, and, if necessary, in the Central and Volga federal districts.
