During a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, jointly with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahayan, held a plenary meeting of the Russia-United Arab Emirates Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation.

The participants of the commission discussed traditional areas of bilateral relations between Russia and the UAE: the fuel and energy sector, nuclear energy, industry, construction, transport, infrastructure, and telecommunication. In particular, the parties discussed further expansion of bilateral trade, including within the framework of the WTO, implementing joint projects in various economic sectors and establishing joint ventures in both countries, primarily in the energy sector. The commission prepared an agreement on creating a Russia-UAE investment fund. 

At the conclusion, the parties signed a final protocol on the meeting.
